The Laboratory Supervisor performs supervisory and task

This position has appropriate knowledge and skills necessary

specified populations; Assists the Laboratory Manager to order; place into
stock supplies delivered to the Lab, being sure to correctly rotate with
current supply; properly receives specimens entering the Lab by accessioning,

indicated, reports in laboratory and physician files and maintains duplicate
report file as indicated; answers phones and directs calls as appropriate;

other health-care workers to solve problems; attends and participates in
department meetings; performs other duties as assigned

Embeds tissue samples, operates tissue processor, cuts and stains frozen section specimens, performs routine microtomy and performs special stains as requested Requirements: One year experience in histology required
