Job Summary:

Responsible for overall coordination of patient flow and services delivered to respiratory clients in an acute hospital and a home care environment; works collaboratively with all members of the health care team
The Respiratory Therapy Manager is responsible for developing and monitoring plans to ensure quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the Inpatient and Outpatient Respiratory Therapy staff on a daily basis
The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor will have responsibility for the clinical practice, competencies and policies and procedures related to all hospital wide RT functions; including diagnostic procedures and ventilator management
The Respiratory Therapy Manager monitors implementation of strategic quality improvement processes as assigned and handles staffing and scheduling for the department as well as assures adequate supplies and equipment for therapy services for the hospital and home care respiratory therapy department
Supervision of the Respiratory Therapy manager is provided by the Director of Community Services and Respiratory Therapy Service Line
Administrative responsibilities include: budget preparation, performance reviews, professional development programs for staff and preparation and maintenance of regulatory requirements, such as JCAHO, OSHA, FDA, etc,
