Requirements:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Radiology; Masters preferred.

Current Registered Nurse's License in the state of Texas. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum of three years experience in Nursing Administration or Cardiology/Radiology.

Minimum of three years experience in coronary care nursing and/or the Cardiac Cath Laboratory and/or Radiology. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation skills
Additional languages preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Proficient in interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings.
Operates Cardiac Cath Laboratory equipment: x-ray table, camera, video recorder, ultrasound machines, pressure injectors, etc.
Directs the activities of the Cardiac Cath Laboratory Services

Administers plans, directs and evaluates the activities of the Cardiac Cath Laboratory to ensure quality patient care. Develops goals, policies and procedures; prepares and submits the operating and capital expenditure budgets for the cardiac cath lab. Participates in CQI and performance improvement activities.

Requirements:
This position is accountable to prepare patients and perform routine ultrasound procedures in accordance with physicians’ orders and the procedure manual. 

The Ultrasonographer produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with appropriate comparison studies and other exam results or pertinent information to the Radiologist for timely interpretation.
RDMS registered. 
Preferably ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology.
Registry in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular, and Neurosonography preferred.
Completion of accredited program in ultrasound.
Three years relevant experience preferred.
